Carson Palmer no longer has a monkey on his back — Arizona Cardinals

The NFL's all-time leading passer had his worst professional season and could be facing retirement. They do run a little read option, but it's not like designed runs for the quarterback. That last Chiefs' touchdown didn't even faze them.

Fitzgerald's second half performance was one of the best in playoff history as he caught 7 passes for 170 yards and fueled Palmer and the offense in overtime to take the win.

A short time after Arians spoke to reporters, he walked through the locker room - on his way home "for a couple adult beverages" - as if this was just another game.

Teammates said they "could see it in his eyes" how much "he wanted it" in the second half.

The Broncos have adjusted for over-the-hill Manning somewhat, leaning more on their backfield duo of C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman. As if playing NFL defenses wasn't bad enough, Palmer had now made a mental mistake.

At the same time, however, he actually seems to enjoy what he's doing. A Yankees devotee and Steelers groupie, he has been scouring the forest of fertile NYC sports sections since the 1970s.

"It is going to be insane". It's hard to double-team Fitzgerald because Michael Floyd has exceptional speed, and John Brown has emerged into one of the most underrated players in the game.

In that previous matchup, Stewart ran for 123 yards on 24 carries and scored a touchdown. Fitzgerald surpassed 100 yards receiving five times and has 10 touchdowns.

“He’s really fast, the coach said. The Arizona defense ranked fifth in the NFL, allowing 321.7 yards per game.

The NFC Championship Game will be a contrast in offensive styles. It's safe to say, he wouldn't mind overcoming more. The Cardinals had its most consistently explosive offense.

After 13 years in the league, Carson Palmer finally got his first playoff win. "(Newton is) a very special guy in the things you can do with him; because he's so big and strong, you don't worry about getting hurt running the football with him".

The Cardinals are focusing on winning those battles instead of fretting about the game's location. No major injuries to speak of yet.

The Cardinals love to throw it deep, and they will. They need to work the underneath throws to beat the Panthers.

Manning has the passing records, but Brady is 11-5 in the head-to-head meetings and has four Super Bowl rings to Manning's one. The Broncos added a field goal, and the score became 23-13. Reggie Bush was the other winner, but his 2005 trophy was vacated. And, of course, their first loss this season was in Denver.

The Cardinals will travel to Charlotte next Sunday to face the Panthers in the playoffs for the second straight year. It is now time to look ahead to the conference championship games.
