A Saudi general has disclosed that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi had proposed sending up to 40 thousand Egyptian ground forces to Yemen to fight with the Saudi-led Arab coalition against the Houthi rebels.
"The crash resulted in the martyrdom of four officers and eight rank officers of the Saudi armed forces", the coalition said in a statement submitted to the Saudi Press Agency.
Yemen's long-running conflict escalated in March 2015 when a Saudi-led coalition began bombing raids against the Huthis who had stormed the capital and taken swathes of central and northern territory.
Dozens of Saudi soldiers have been killed in cross-border attacks from Yemen.
Meantime, an informed military source said that the Yemeni army and popular forces targeted the gathering centers of the Saudi-backed militias in al-Mukha region, killing at least 15 pro-Hadi militants, including several senior commanders.
"It shows why we are working so closely right now with the Chinese... to try to get this under control and aim for the denuclearized Korean peninsula", Mattis told reporters aboard his doomsday plane in route to Saudi Arabia.
