SALT LAKE CITY UT- MAY 6 Raul Neto #25 of the Utah Jazz defends against Kevin Durant #35 of the Golden State Warriors in the first half in Game Three of the Western Conference Semifinals during the 2017 NBA Playoffs at Vivint Smart Home Arena on May 6

NBA: Golden state – the first finalist of the West

The Golden State Warriors are one win away from reaching the Western Conference finals for a third consecutive season, and they have faced only token opposition in getting to this point.

It didn't matter to the Warriors, who destroyed both teams on their path to the Western Conference Finals, where they await the victor of the Rockets-Spurs' series.

While the Warriors have been the most dominant team this postseason with an 8-0 record, an average margin of victory of 16.5 points, and an interim head coach, the Cavaliers are 8-0 having already advanced to the conference finals with an average margin of victory of 8.3 points. The Golden State Warriors utilized this opportunity to seal the Portland Trail Blazers' fate in the first round, and they did so once against the Utah Jazz. They won a Game 7 on the road in Los Angeles to get to this point. Green added 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for a triple-double.

Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward said Tuesday he hasn't thought about whether he will opt out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent and will take some time off to enjoy time with his family before dealing with the "next chapter".

KEVIN Durant and Draymond Green have apparently grown exhausted of all the talk that the National Basketball Association playoffs have been rendered boring due to the dominance of their Golden State Warriors team and East rival Cleveland Cavaliers.

Including the regular season, the Warriors have won 23 of their last 24 games. The newcomers, mostly veterans, have embraced the selfless culture in Golden State.

But Utah responded with a 14-2 flurry to start the second quarter, slicing through a now too relaxed Warriors defense as a sluggish David West failed to protect the rim. And if and when we get to that point, I want to annihilate them.

Golden State once again blitzed the Jazz early, building a double-digit lead within five minutes of the opening tip. The Warriors has coasted to three wins against the Jazz, winning every game by more than 10 points. And by that I mean he had one mediocre game: Game 2 in which he scored just 13 points. Although aggravating his toe injury upon trying to dunk in Game 7 of the franchise's opening round series, Hill will not require offseason surgery to fix the damage. "I don't know, it's worked the last couple years for us, so we're just going to continue to do it".

The Warriors are No. 1 among playoff teams with a defensive rating of 96.9, far and way the best of any team in these playoffs.

Green says that even though they're handling teams with more ease than the Cavaliers, he argues they're facing stiffer challenges.

Adding the NBA's second-best player in Kevin Durant to a team that set a record with 73 wins previous year, the Warriors have looked unstoppable over the last two months.

"But I think Utah is still playing good basketball", Green said. You watch them, it's been incredible.

"So whatever they're doing doesn't matter for us".
