James scores 35, Cavs take 3-0 lead with 115-94 victory

RAPTORS' MASTER PLAN FALLING APART

Warriors-Jazz Preview

The Cavs are having few problems against the Raptors and went 3-0 up in the Eastern Conference semi-finals with a 115-94 win. Should the Cavs win and finish off the four-game sweep, they would become the first team ever to start 8-0 in the playoffs in consecutive years.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on a roll without a single 2017 National Basketball Association playoff game loss, and they're looking to make it 7-0 in game three against the Toronto Raptors. The King had another fearsome game - 35 points on 9-of-15 shooting, to go with eight rebounds and seven assists.

Kevin Love added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, and Kyrie Irving also scored 16 while Kyle Korver had 14 points.

"We couldn't get anything to fall for us and they turned it on offensively and ran away with it", said Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan, who had a career playoff-best 37 points after scoring a career playoff-low five points in Game 2.

The Raptors actually missed the first 12 three-pointers they attempted not seeing one go down until Norm Powell took the lid off the basket with a make on attempt No. 13 by the team.

Game 4 will tip off on Sunday at 3:30 ET in Toronto. Kyle Korver ended the quarter with back-to-back threes to give the Cavs a 79-77 lead after three quarters.

Toronto needs to get Jonas Involved. That means Sunday is possibly his last game with the Raptors.

It was in the fourth that James finally started to look like the King James from the first two games, pouring in nine points in the first six minutes of the quarter as the Cavs started to pull away for good.

"Sunday's game is about pride", Casey said.

Lowry warmed up before the game but his left ankle didn't have enough mobility; he rolled the ankle inward for an awkward sprain in Game 2.

"Our three-point shooters have to take them and make them", Casey said before the game.

The Cavs shot 51 per cent and were 13 of 23 from three-point range. So far the series between the Cavaliers and Raptors has been completely one-sided. But even Cleveland's younger players like Love (although, really, this is his ninth season and he's 28), and Tristan Thompson (26) covet the break. Perhaps most impressive, James was a relentless 15-of-16 at the foul line, the only recent hole in his game.

As much as Lowry is on the Raptors' hope list, so is DeRozan. "We didn't know whether it was going to take 36 minutes, or 40 minutes, but we knew if we just play our game and pay attention to our details, we would have an opportunity the win the game". Utah was 29-12 at home during the regular season but lost two of its three home games in the first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Cory Joseph started for Toronto.

DeRozan said his team's long-range struggles were made even more "deflating" because Cleveland connected 13 times on 23 attempts from beyond the arc.

"When we lost by (31) here past year, everyone knocked us and said it was over with", Casey said.

"We gotta understand going to the fourth quarter, a championship team like that understands the moment", DeRozan said. The fans were all decked in white shirts printed with red maple leafs and they booed LeBron James each time he touched the ball.

The Rockets' three-man bench of Eric Gordon, Nene and Lou Williams combined for 10 points on 3-of-19 shooting.
