MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski slammed Republicans for celebrating the House passage of their healthcare reform bill, saying Friday it "felt like a ribbon cutting to a golf course". However, they've already ruled out one offer from a high-profile frenemy.
In the midst of the meal, the president told the couple that if they chose to get married, they should do so at Mar-a-Lago or the White House.
An MSNBC spokesperson tells The Associated Press that the couple is engaged, but said the network wouldn't be commenting further. As for sitting down with Vanity Fair in such a public fashion to announce their engagement, the couple attributes the choice to the six children they have between them.
They continued the disdain later in the show, with Scarborough telling a guest, "it's a country club with restrictive membership".
"That's when Jared [Kushner] interrupted and said, 'Hey, you know what? I could marry you, '" Scarborough said. "They could have the President of the United States marry them".
Both Scarborough and Brzezinski have been married before - twice for him, once for her - and have kept their relationship cloaked until now. If it weren't Trump, it might be something to think about.
