The pilot and co-pilot were killed when a cargo plane contracted by UPS went off the runway and over a hillside at a West Virginia airport Friday morning, an airport official said.
The passengers on board the UPS plane are now feared to be trapped and a state of emergency has been declared by Kanawha County officials at Yeager Airport.
New outlets show emergencies crews at the scene.
Plante says the Air Cargo Carriers plane departed from Louisville, Kentucky, and was trying to land when it went off the runway and down a steep, wooded hillside.
It wasn't immediately clear whether additional injuries have been reported.
There was no indication that the plane was having any issues before the crash, and there was no severe weather at the time.
Airport Road has reopened, but only for people who need to get there for airport business.
